OK, got it. You are very thoughtful, and the situation you describe does exist.
If you need to limit the number of lines, maybe you can provide an option in the settings to let the user decide whether to ellipse and how many lines to retain. Since users may not use as many multi-line extra tags, if they are used to using only one (e.g. comment), then there should be no need to limit the number of lines or relax the limit. This is where the user can configure it to suit their needs.

Yes, that's why I said the idea is not very good. A setting could improve it indeed, but at the moment I think it's overkill. I would like to have more feedback from more real users first. It's a new feature.
But anyway, here is a question to one real user: What do you think of the hard-coded 12 line limit? Too high, too low?
