Also include line spacing in toolbar button names. This is very useful when we have several lines of text and we want to compress the vertical space.

You might try a smaller font size.

Result with using Font Size = 9 (Windows Default).
I wonder if the modification of Windows metrics (to make File Explorer "readable" at scaling 100) is affecting things adversely with xplorer?

@Don: I just upgraded to new beta .003 after skipping a few, and I noticed that some (most) of my list icons in normal details view are now like 12x12 instead of 16x16 icons, I assume it might have something to do with the changes made in regards to this topic? Or maybe this is another "only me" issue. Here is a screenshot showing the difference, the lnk file shows a normal size icon but the exe is ~12px (I blew it up to 200% to make it easier):

NOTE I am still using a 3rd party program to change Windows Metrics to have File Explorer Font size=14 bold
I am using both File Explorer and xyplorer simultaneously - EVERYTIME I change the Metrics for File Explorer, I HAVE TO LOG OFF/RESTART - currently other important applications are running all the time 24/7 so logging off and restarting causes a "hassle" for these other applications.
However - if it helps to completely shut off the Metrics for Windows File Explorer - I will shut down (probably in about 4-8 hours time would be OK for me) - if this helps to sort out this "tricky" minor problem
It is very nice of xyplorer to change "xyployer metrics" WITHOUT having to SHUT DOWN (makes it much easier for me!)

Your screenshot does not look like you are using 16x16 thumbs.
Can you turn this off just to understand why it does not seem to work as it should at your end?NOTE I am still using a 3rd party program to change Windows Metrics to have File Explorer Font size=14 bold

I told you above that you should do:
- Configuration | Preview | Thumbnails | Style = Plain
- Configuration | Preview | Thumbnails | Padding = 0
It's useless if you don't read my replies.

I quickly experimented with 16/32 thumbs (padding=0, Style=Plain) -9 Font 9/14 bold. VARIOUS mouse wheel settings
Probably the fourth (bottom) panel is my preference.
(You, very early, mentioned about minor alinement problems (that you you look into later - I gather this would include the small vertical displacement of the thumbnail down relative to the top of the ICON?)
