No. All I could do is add a special option to disable file info tips for video files only.

No worries - using the 'only show file info on icon hover' fix is a great workaround - so happy to be around the seemingly random lag I would experience whenever I went into a folder with lots of video. Thanks!

Even better is to use the tweak "
Show File Info Tips Only When Holding Shift"
