That would be fine. By doing that, it would be effectively the same as it currently is, but the status would remain on a new session. I assume it still would not change the Configuration > CEA > Changing location > "Action" drop down from "None" to "Script" and visa versa. The true status would be obtained by using tweak("SkipBrowseEvents"); and not what is obtained from SC getkey from the XYplorer.ini. Thanks Don.

Yes.

It's not nice that the status is hidden. One day there will be a better solution to this.

Ok, thanks Don. This is more an explanation and confirmation, as discussed I realized through testing that the tweak does not actually change "Action" block from "None" to "Run script" and that's fine. I also discovered that the "Action" had to be set to "Run script" for the tweak to work. In other words the tweak will not override that setting if it's set to "None". It will only function if the setting in Configuration is already set to "Run script" and of course a script has to be entered. So the tweak acts independently from the Configuration setting to turn the CEA on and off, but it will not turn it on if the "Action" setting is "None". I have no problem with that. I'm just making sure I understand the tweak interface with Configuration correctly.

Yes, right. Hmm, I don't like the whole tweak anyway. Can you think of a better solution?

I'm fine with the tweak. I just wanted to understand and confirm the logic.

Possibly for the future...It appears that the changes made to CEAs in Configuration are immediate and do not require a save since the toolbar button does not change indicating that a save is required. Maybe at some point the tweak or an SC setting could do exactly what the changes to Configuration are doing. They're immediate and apparently do not require a save. Does that mean these changes are in memory as well as saved to disk?

If you Cancel the configuration dialog any CEA changes are discarded.

That the "Save Settings" toolbar button does not register the changes is a bug. Will be fixed.
Just checked. It is not like this. What made you think so?

True but that applies to anything.

My toolbar button is not changed from green to brown at all with these changes. Dam it! I just checked Configuration for an explanation and found it. Last week I had "temporarily" set "Save settings to disk immediately" and forgot to turn it off. That explains it. It works as expected now.

So if you can simply make the tweak permanent across sessions as discussed originally that should be all that's needed.
