To be clear(er), there is actually two variations of this issue:

1) In the 5th post of this thread, I was talking about the scenario where one logs into windows without a connection, and once the connection (VPN or otherwise) is established, only Explorer probes the user for creds.

2) The other as mentioned in the 8th post of this thread is where one logs in with the connection, and the shares work fine, but then when disconnecting and reconnecting (eg. LAN -> Nothing -> WiFi), Explorer will let you browse the shares again, but XY won't (until that is done in Explorer).

Okay, but did the last beta solve at least one of the issues?

Umm, I'm currently running 6.80.0088. I'll grab the latest beta for trials shortly.

MMM, wierd... the comment I saw in a fix over the last few days was that the auth dialog would now pop up for mapped drives, yet it is the other scenario that now seems to work (6.80.0111).

ie.

- XY wouldn't probe for my creds when first establishing the link to the server - in fact, even after WinExplorer had done this, XY STILL said the drive was unavailable. Only after I fully restarted XY did it show the drive properly.

- Now when I disconnect the VPN and reconnect it, I can see XY show the drive as unavailable and then available again correct operation). I've yet to try this when going from LAN -> WiFi as previously discussed, but this still seems like an improvement.

Stu.

Edit: Added version number.

So it does not pop when it should pop?

Okay, let's try something now. We'll use a temporary scripting command for debugging.

- paste ::lognetworkaccess 1 into the address bar and press enter.
- try to go to your share
- you should see some message box now; please copy (Ctrl+C) the contents and let me know.

Ok, noob response here... I tried it, but got a prompt back saying "Couldn't find location: ::lognetworkaccess 1".

Are you using the latest beta? I should have mentioned that you need at least v6.80.0112 for this.

Ummm, I am now (6.80.0112) but am getting the same result.

I notice the changelog for 112 doesn't mention this new script command... is it in there?

It's a non-documented command made especially for you. It is in there. Please try again ::lognetworkaccess 1 in address bar, press Enter. You should get a statusbar message lognetworkaccess : True.

lognetworkaccess: Vrai

sTu_Deimus: You probably need to enable "Quick Scripting" on Configuration - Advanced first, or enter it using using menu Scripting|Try Script...
