Sure: I do all my filtering through this list, and I know at which positions my filters are. A habit thing. I want the list stable.
:? Ok, that's understandable...but why would the positions on MRU need to change? It's only which one of them was the last used, and which doesn't have to be on top, right?

Yeah, but that's not really a good-enough reason :P

Because what you want then is not an MRU! And the first time you'll use a new VF that you hadn't used before, all positions will change!
In doing this thing, you broke the whole MRU concept, which isn't a good idea. Imagine someone who doesn't use that list at all : to him, it's a bug : the last filter isn't remembered !

I think the list should work in a different way then, and not affect the MRU and the rest of the VF system, or you should enabled this behavior using an INI Tweak, because right now this isn't good/expected behavior.

Another example: I just used a VF I hadn't used recently, so it was on position 22 on my MRU. I just used it, so this should be the last one used, postion 1. Yet, it's still 22 !!
So on Ctrl+J/F4 I have to scroll a lot, and don't even think of using Toggle No/Last (even though it is the last one used) or looking for it in the TB MRU list. This just doesn't make sense to me!

I understand what you want from that list, but I really believe it should not be based on the MRU, cause you just broke the MRU completely!

That's right and it would be a good solution for all. However, jacky argues that MRUs have an expected behavior, and I'm just considering whether he might be right...

The way it works now, it's not a MRU, it's more a MRE or MRK (most recently Entered / Keyed  ) so how the entry gets selected/picked shouldn't affect where/how the last USED becomes.

Perhaps an option (or ini tweak) as to whether the Visual Filter List should be treated as MRU (i.e. reordered when a new lists is selected) or as a static list?

mmmmmmm tweakeritis... in think a straight decision would rock harder in this case.

Oh he's right, I can confirm it. ;) I'm sure you have something like a text editor or anything with MRU for latest searches done, or files open, or whatever, it always work like that.

Just think about it : Most-Recently Used, meaning the latest one used comes first, regardless of wheter he was last used 2 hours ago, last year, or never before.

In fact, just take XY and try any MRU other than VF, like say Batch Rename, you'll see!
