When I wrote my last post I thought about what I prefer. In means of the function I think there are situations to need both - sometimes with, sometimes without prefix (when not needed).
So I would say for 55%: you can just follow the words "with suffix" and always add it :)
Or in other words: I can live with both solutions - and would very slightly prefere "always with suffix".

To tell you the truth, I didn't think much about what could be the use of the command and how it should work. I just concluded from what I have read in the XYwiki and the Help File that the command will always add a number behind the original file name.

As PeterH already said, I think most of us can live with both solutions. Yes, maybe apart from jacky.

And imagine one day, you use it but to another destination than "here". Wouldn't you find it odd than there's no number suffix ?

After all, you want to just copy, then use "Copy Here" In case of collision, say "no" to overwrite and choose which suffix you want ot use...

I know this one wasn't for me, but wouldn't you find it illogical otherwise ? As you said, all features do it, and this one is grouped with the others, goes by the same "name structure", it only makes sense to me that the natural & expected way would be to always have a number...

(and what about two or more files, from different locations, with the same name (eg. index.htm) all copied with suffix number to the same destination. You'd expect 1, 2, 3 and get 1, 2 and no number. Which is the first, the second, and the third ? Why didn't XY do what it was asked to ? Why am I ranting about this so much ??!)
