Understood! Unfortunately, it's the few sh*ts that make it difficult for the rest of the world! Fie on them!!!

True!
BTW, before publishing I always scan the following files at
https://www.virustotal.com :
XYplorer.exe
XYplorer_##.##_Install.exe
xyplorer_full.zip
All three had zero problems (incl. Malwarebytes).
PS: Repeated it right now: still no problems:

Below is a link to my post at the Malwarebtyes Forum. Malwarebytes is apparently giving a
false positive warning about XYplorer. For those who use both XYplorer and Malwarebytes, I suggest you add a comment to raise the level of attention so Malwarebytes quickly verifies that xyplorer.exe is free of malware.

FYI -- As of this writing, after a fresh update of Malwarebytes, xyplorer_full.exe still gets quarantined, even though the same file passes clean for Malwarebytes at virustotal.com

Update: A staff person at Malwarebytes says on the forum:
"Thanks for reporting, the fix will be available in the next update."

A Malwarebytes staff person has confirmed the warning about XYplorer was a
false positive.
"The update should be out soon. However if you don't want to wait for the update,
you can add an exclusion and remove it from the quarantine."

Merely removing the exclusion does not work. Upon relaunching XYplorer, the exclusion is ignored and the item is re-quarantined.
The only way to get past this is to turn Malwarebytes'
Malware Protection off.

Calvin, I don't know what you are doing but I am able to run XYPlorer without issue after creating the exception. Just FYI...

I appreciate that but it does not affect my results. I look forward to the fix.
I must also mention that the fact that virustotal.com gives XYplorer.exe a pass is irrelevant.
It's not virustotal.com we're using.
Malwarebytes has had no problems with 20.10...but not all of a sudden does have a problem with 20.20.
That's what clearly requires a fix.

See attached screen shot. Why is Malwarebytes quarantining XYPlorer???

I've posted on the MBAM forum and provided the logs they wanted. Didn't see any other posts on this. In the meantime, I excluded it. What a PITA. Hope it's a false positive.

Follow up: I got a reply that referred me to another thread where MBAM says it will be fixed in the next update.

I am using another AV. If my AV reported false positive for XY, and if they needed more than one hour to respond to my false positive report, I would switch to another AV and never look back.

Which AV programs typically offer an update within an hour on a matter of this kind? Since MBAM users can easily exclude the program, the main issue is the waste of time in dealing with it.
