Can't understand why XYPlorer keeps crashing

I am using v2.4.3 and the BCShellEx.dll version is v2.4.2. I did attempt to update to the latest version last week but for some reason it went through the process but the old version was still there. I'll perform an un-install and then re-install. Thanks for the tip.

Just to conclude this topic with a happy ending. The release notes for the latest version of Beyond Compare contain:

Fixed crash when retrieving hint text for some Explorer context menu extensions.


Since using the latest version of Beyond Compare with the context extension enabled XY has never crashed. So, it looks like that was the problem.
