There is another problem, the preview setting seems to have no effect (19.40).

Works fine here.

1. My info seems different. 2. I unchecked autoplay, but video file still autoplay.

1. The important values are the same (utf8 is not important here). So, I have no idea why it does not work for you.

2. Where do you see the preview? Preview tab? Preview Pane? Floating Preview?

1. All my RAR and 7Z files can't preview, even English file names. (Preview Pane and Floating Preview)
2. Unicode filename: Some zip files can be previewed, but others can't. (Preview Pane and Floating Preview)
3. The strangest thing is video file, if it is a unicode file name, Preview Pane can play fine, but Floating Preview not.

7z or RAR won't preview in the preview pane or preview panel they are unsupported, only the Hoverbox is to be expected.

And you already said you left the 7Zip ini file key blank, so you won't be able to get 7Zip in Hoverbox anyway.

Preview Pane can use a different method for videos (as plan B if the first method fails). Floating Preview cannot do this trick.

I know what you mean. Without 7z.exe, Hover Box can't be used on 7Z files.

I installed WinRar in the default path. Hover Box dose not work for RAR file. Why?

Hover Box:
Some zip files (unicode filename) can be previewed, but others can't. Hover Box show "Invalid archive" message.
In fact, I have been able to read these files normally through other programs.

Send me one that does not work.

This file name is "[糸杉柾宏] 秋日天空 or 秋色之空.zip".

Hover Box :Error message is "Invalid archive."

Problem 1) That file you just attached works for me in HoverBox.

Problem 2) Did you initially install WinRAR with XY already running?, try blanking out this ini key: ZipPathUnRAR= and saving the file and then restarting XY.

Did you restart without saving changes after making the ini file change?

I think it's time to stop this topic, maybe my system is abnormal.
If you can use the hover box on the "[糸杉柾宏] 秋日天空 or 秋色之空.zip" file, I think my OS is not working properly.
