EDIT2: What I would really do is that I would grey out the "Remember list settings per tab/Apply to/List styles" option when the "Apply list styles globally" is ON.

They are independent from each other. One is about applying a style, the other about remembering a style (or other things).

You are right, but strictly technically. From user perspective, if I click "Apply globally", it doesn't matter how the Remember list style per tab is set. When I change the list style it will change on each tab of each pane.
But when I switch off the "Apply globally" option, I will have 2 options and different way of working:
1. Remember list style per tab is OFF: if I change list style, it will change on each tab on the active pane.
2. Remember list style per tab is ON: if I change list style, it will change on the active tab of the active pane.

Ok, no grey out then, no problem at all. I just wanted to show you the experience on the other side of the software. :-)

It is exactly the example #1 shown here which caused all my confusion (because the default changed). I don't know what's the best answer, but agree it's a bit confusing for sure.
