With a software called
AvroKeyboard. It's pretty much the standard around here.
Anyway I just added a Bangla keyboard Layout from Window language options and XY still shows "?"

XYplorer's edit boxes are subclassed to do a couple of extra tricks on top of the Windows standard behavior. Probably this somehow interferes with that software.

Ah, yes, so how do you input Bangla now? I mean which keys do you press, which mouse buttons?

Control Panel\Clock, Language, and Region\Language > Add a Language > Bangla > Bangla (Bangladesh) [Steps might be differently labelled in Win8x as you know]
Then switched to Bangla input from Tray icon/Winkey+Space.
Code: Select all
Typing: B, E, X, N, E
Outputs: ব, া, ং, ল, া == বাংলা

So you just press the normal letter keys. Well, I cannot explain why this does not work.
