Quite possibly the best example of why non-free, closed source software is never a good idea. One person decides for everyone. The software (or Don, in this case) controls you. Does anyone actually agree that this way of thinking is truly the best way to be?
It's his software. He decides what's best for it. You have a problem with that? Nobody forces you to use this piece of software or this forum. If you can't except that: Write your own (and better) file manager...

Passiert jeden Tag. Gott sei Dank nicht allzuhäufig hier im Forum^^

Aside from the fact that I actually speak German, I will assume that my point fell on deaf, closed-source, non-free, proprietary ears. I don't believe calling out a control freak admin who doesn't give proper weight to his user base is "crazy". But that is your opinion.

Still, very unprofessional.

And didn't I tell you that you'd have buddies defending you? ;)

Note that I decided to take it back.

Instead I added a tweak to limit the scope of "Tools | Customize List | Hide Extensions" to just the Details views:

Code: Select all

ListHideExtInDetailsOnly=1
(How to tweak: http://www.xyplorer.com/faq-topic.php?id=tweak)

Note: This is from v16.60.0005 onwards!
