Too late, done already. Works nicely. :)
No, "as" I said ...
Yes it minimizes to the tray but no on startup ... and/or no with a command line switch ...
Just saw there's a bug in it.... However, it works, also minimized to tray, when you have an /ini= switch in the command line as well.
Typing XYplorer\XYplorer.exe /win=min in the windows run box, launch XYp but does not forceably minimize it ... normal ?

Works fine here. Did you try the latest version (6.00.0022)?

It well minimizes on startup in build 22 but the strange thing is that it also stay on the taskbar ...

You have to set the option "Minimize to Tray" in configuration/general.

Already set since I started to use the app but even the XYp icon is on the systray and on the taskbar ...

Sorry, still reproducible...
I tried even with the 4-bits icon checkbox but, nothing ...

OK, let me get this right. You say you set minimized to tray in the configuration and it shows in both taskbar and tray after minimizing right? i still cannot reproduce this.
Just to be sure, maybe you should restart XYp after setting this and see if it still works the same.
Also, maybe you should try to repoduce this on another install of XYp just to be sure.

Right, thats why I suggested the fresh install which will tell if its just your problem or XY's problem.

This new feature in 6.00.0022 is working fine for me (thanks, Don). Just in case the platform is a factor, I'm running Win XP SP2. Also, I hate to suggest it since there's no rational reason I can think for it in this case, but often a machine restart will fix odd problems with Windows.

Already done so several times, but without success !

Code: Select all

 v6.00.0019 - 28.05.07 09:42
    + Added new command line switch to control the window state on start
      up:
        /win=min      -> start minimized
        /win=max      -> start maximized
        /win=normal   -> start normal
Apparently by introducing this new switch you also changed the default state to normal.
Is there an INI-tweak to return the default to max'd? (like winstate=xx)
Ralph :)
