I set my Win8.1 to the exact same DPI settings (Screen DPI: 110,7692 (115,3846%)), but I don't get any missing icons. So, I think Win7 is one factor in this. But there are more factors: Could it be that the items with missing icons are HIDDEN (file attribute)?
PS: Try v14.80.0204 ...

The 14.80.0204 seems to be working great!
(You were right about the hidden attribute, the problem only appeared in hidden files and folders, and toggling hidden on non-hidden files in 14.80.0203 also toggled the icon visibility)
Thank you for the quick fix!!!

I'm having the same trouble. I had been using XyplorerFree v 14.50 and everything was great. I did something to foul up the settings and lost the icons.
I tried re-installing and then deleted the program and installed v 14.80. Attached is a screenshot of Windows Explorer and XYplorer.

And are you using the latest XY version,v14.80.0204, that fixed this issue? Because I see you've attached a screenshot of v14.50.0200 (free)

...but the latest Free is 14.80.0000?

I downloaded and was using version 14.80.000. Funny, I did a Windows restore and everything looks ok now. This is the 2nd time this has happened. BTW, I am using Windows 7.

At first I was thinking Menu > Tools > Customize List > [X] Show Icons. I guess that's not it though...

Here's a screenshot of my XYplorer that has no visible icons at all, version 14.80.0200. Windows 7, all current SPs, and I've saved a copy of the entire program folder in this state in case the developer wants it for debug purposes.

I replaced it ENTIRELY with a fresh copy from my other computer, and the problem hasn't recurred... yet. I remember there was an exact moment when the icons disappeared - IIRC I was adjusting the columns (probably adding Dimensions and removing Attributes) when they disappeared.

Old bug. Was fixed after 14.80.0200. Try 15.00.
EDIT: wait, on second looks it rather looks like a style issue. List styles have been totally reset. What to do: Open Tools | Customize List and add the checkmarks you need.

Ah, sorry, I misread your "fixed" version number. v14.80.0204 is just after my version.
Downloaded the current - 15.00.0000. Hopefully that solves it forever. Thx.

OTOH, the 15.0 installer lost most of my customizations, despite its claim that it wouldn't overwrite my ini files.
In fact, my original Windows Layout file still exists, but when I use Window>Load Layout and load the previous layout files (I have two custom files), nothing changes (the tabs should be different). Weird. It's as if the v15.00 program won't read the v14.80 Windows Layout files correctly.
EDIT: Nevermind. It's the Panes ini file, not the Windows ini file, I need.
Is there an ini file that specifies both tabsets at once?

No, this is extensively tested before every new release. I just tested it again: the installer does not overwrite or modify any of your old settings. This is an XYplorer law ever since.
