Full screen preview: Separate IP icon to invoke?+Arrow use?

Why could it not just go directly to FSP without IP being made visible if it's hidden? Or is that what you meant? That would make usage even quicker and better!

As you see I went all the way, and I love it! Should have done that on day one.
Currently, if the current file is no image, nothing happens. But that's not the final word. I'm just still undecided about what's best... however, I tend to go for option #2: and say "F11 will open full screen preview for image files." If it's an image but is excluded by user I add "This is an image file but the type has been been excluded from preview (see Config/Previewed formats)". I'm very open for another English lession... :wink:

Some ideas for normal F11 msg:
1) "Not an image file. Unable to do Full Screen Preview"
2) "Must be an image file to preview in Full Screen mode"
3) "Full Screen Preview is only for image files"

For excluded, I don't think you need to point out where to set it...so..
1) "This image file type has been excluded from preview"
2) "Unable to preview. File type is excluded"
3) "Must use defined external application for this file type"

These are what I can up with in a few minutes...maybe not the best, but some alternatives, anyway...

However, I still hope you may consider the backup method of using IP preview...

You're not the only one who feels that way!!
:D I'm very pleased with the results! Makes my usage MUCH easier and quicker!
Now if I don't have IP open, I can just F11 on a pix and then browse thru a few others, do F11 and I'm back to full list...YEAAAAA!!!! GREAT!!

I'm also happy that I mentioned this issue, as it was one of little things that made usage just a bit round-a-bout...

Yes, it's the little things... How said a wise man: take the big things light and the small things serious, or so...

F11 on non-image:
"Full Screen Preview is only for image files."
F11 on excluded image:
"This image file type has been excluded from preview."

Excellent work Donald, F11 is most useful.

I notice that pressing and holding F11 down results in the preview being displayed only while the key is pressed, on releasing the key the file list is restored. I don't know if this is intentional or just happened, but I like it. It makes full screen viewing of a single image very easy.

Is there a good reason why auto-repeat does not work with the PgUp/PgDn keys in full screen preview? Browsing through a number of images gets a little tedious having to press the key every time, rather than just holding it down.

1. holding F11: it kind of happened naturally. :)

2. yes, I intentionally avoided auto-repeat here; your idea to use PgUp/PgDn for larger jumps is nice though; remind me in a week...
