Or you move back?

Bummer! Well, I'm off for today. This needs deeper research...

Same as others. Also favorite files and folders gone except for a single entry.

Win 7.

I will go back to Linux before I go Win 8.1.

That's just a side-effect of the bug. Just don't save the config now... :)

Windows 8.1 has way less bugs, at least...

Maybe Don should go back to a sane Windows instead...

Please don't open a new topic when there is a fresh one that's exactly the same. Old topic deleted, post merged.

erh, while waiting for Don to fix things up, anyone has a backup of a working "portable non-installer"?

Sadly I backed up XYplorer.ini but not tag.dat , so all my tag database are lost :x

Try using Recuva, possibly connecting the current hard disk to another computer, so that Windows doesn't write to it. Maybe you can recover it.
I'm sorry to read that you lost tag.dat - I have 4000 tagged items and counting, so I know what it means and I can't help but relate.

Re the bug, it seems solved here. But there's a script misbehaving, need to investigate further... My bad, I was still testing .0103. 0113 no-install seems corrupted?
