i should also point out that the current behavior looks quite ugly/uneven in cases of short filenames...

you never fixed it. the thumbnail selection highlight color is still not including the filename [my selection highlight is classic mode]...

i tested with fresh and it works fine. but for some reason it doesn't work with my custom settings. please test using my custom XYplorer.ini to see why it is not working for me. i'm already on the latest XY 19.10.0200.

Sorry, but I think it's your job to find out what's wrong with your configuration.

i figured out the cause. it happens when "enable color filters" is checked. but in this case, no back color is set for the color filter so the problem shouldn't happen--the back color should be treated as transparent. please fix.

Okay, I see it too now. But it's not a bug but a necessity. The text colors in Color Filters are meant to work on the list background. You cannot expect them to work on the selection background as well, and in most cases they would not since the list background tends to be the reverse darkness of the selection background (bright vs dark).

the color filters are not supposed to work on the selection background at all. you got it implemented correctly in list view, but you overlooked it in thumbnails view.

when a file is selected, the color filters should not be shown in the in selection highlight, because it would cause the problem. please fix this for thumbnails view so it works the same as list view [where it is not a problem].

Actually, in case of lists, the selection text and background practically overwrite the color filter, with a tiny hint left on the right side of the file name, in the color of the file background. Isn't it possible, that ghost zero asks for the same in case of thumbnail view? That the filename should colored in accordance with the selection color too? Actually, it would be logical (however, I don't have problem with the existing look). But honestly, this way is similar as if in the list the file name would be left out from selection coloring, only the empty spaces would be colored on the right side of the filename...
