Code: Select all

v5.10.0044 - 24.09.06 11:34
+++ I invented a cute little gimmick for the "Up" toolbar button: the
"Up-Down-History"! Never seen it before (the Google Toolbar has
the Up-part but not the Down-part). You could also call it a
"popup breadcrumb" or a "relative history".

Just started to use the breadcrumbs, i should say its a yummy feature.

Welcome back, man! If you like breadcrumb, you will love popcorn! My next little pioneering idea is in the making... :D

Starting to sound like the Banquet Explorer with all these food courses. I'm getting hungry, what's next? :D

Okay, I skipped the popcorn metaphor. What you get now is the "Hotlist" and it's yummy, too!

Oh, that is sweet indeed! Between it and your keyboard-usable bread crumbs, xy is becoming the ultimate keyboardists explorer. I can move around with the greatest of ease without resorting to using the mouse -- just the way I like it!

Download again and get v5.10.0050 - 28.09.06 12:45! There's a bug in v5.10.0049 that freezes XY when you browse MyComputer or Nethood!

Hey, may I quote you here??:

Allen's comment is true...unless one used the Cntl+H & Cntl+O to toggle highlighted/boxed...which were two shortcuts that this touchpad user actually used...ok, so not THAT often...however, while adapting to Cntl+Shift+B is possible, how about something to replace Cntl+O? :(

But...that Hotlist is very nice and neat! Eliminating all the extra stuff plus alpha sort makes finding desired entry very quick! 8)

Any chance of a Toolbar icon for Hotlist? :?:
That would make usage easier for us touchpad'rs/mouse'rs...

Sorry, I know it's rude to change old shortcuts. But it feels easier since I know that customizing them will come. Then you can roll then back
I'll add Ctrl+Alt+B for boxed...

Sure, was planned anyway and in the meantime is done. :)
BTW, I did not make a burning list or similar for "Hotlist", but something green to show the relatedness to history...

I don't object to 'easy' shortcuts changing, especially when it's to add such great new features as Hotlist...just to not replacing them with any alternate...so thanks!

I think it'd be nice to actually have a Breadcrumb submenu on the List context menu, between Up & Back. Would be a quicker access than having to go all the way to the TB :D
I most heartily agree on both points here.
Okidoki...
 I see you haven't added the submenu, but it'll come right?
Was thinking on why you didn't do it, is it to torture me for fun? :P And while thinking about about this and the Hotlist I wanted to add: Even having an item "Breadcrumb..." that pops up the Breadcrumb's menu (at mouse location) would be fine, doesn't have to be a submenu (ie created on every List's right-click), just like with the Tabs list; but because I only use thoose feature (Up, Back, Forward, Breadcrumb) through this menu - it's the easiest/quickest way for me - I don't use Breadcrumb for now :(

BTW I think in that (List's ctxt) menu you could add the "Down" item aswell, since Up is there. (Well, espeically true is you add the Breadcrumb item, look at the Go menu! ;))

And Off topic, that Hotlist is a pretty damn cool thing! :D Very well done (once again)

Regarding the revised shortcut keys: Thanks for replacing the deleted (toggle boxed) one!
And...Still need to update Help listing for it and Cntl+Shift+B.
I'll also agree that Hotlist is one of the HOTTEST improvements in a while! :D

I would add that stuff to the list ctx menu, but only in a sub menu "Go". Else it's too many items. Okay?

hmm so you want to move all (Up, Back, etc) too into this submenu "Go" ?
Actually, I'm a bit unsure about this... I mean I really like having the "Up" one right there on top the the menu. Everything else but "Up" in a "Go" submenu would be fine for me, having to go in the submenu for "Up" too... I might not like that so much  But in the end, it's up to you ;)
