The path to the settings file is shown in the title bar of the configuration dialog.

I confirm the path to the config is the same for both 12.50 and 12.80.

Thanks. I got an idea now and think I can solve it.
What are the extensions of the files in question?

Extensions are both .xls/.doc and .xlsx/docx .

Sorry, spoke too soon. There is nothing I can do. It remains one of those one-user-only mysteries.

Hi again,
I am sorry to pick this topic up again, but after updating to 15.40.0100, and setting XPIorer to start in Win8 compatibility mode, I am getting extremely long loading times when doubleclicking on .xls, .xlsx, .doc and .docx files. Both Word and Excel have only one addon installed: FoxitPDF. When I open any of these files in Windows Eplorer, they take <3 sec to load. The same file in XPlorer takes >18 seconds. The Word splash spends 18 seconds saying "Starting...". I tried disabling the addon, no difference.

Does anyone have any ideas why this happens?
