Good tip, thanks! Rather than remove it though, I'd like to have the tab stand out among my many tabs as the original XY icon. To me, removing it actually makes it less apparent to me than the blue XY icon, I'm hoping since Don decided to revert the app's icon, he will do so for the forum as well.

Sorry, slightly overreacted. I'm just not in the mood for icons anymore. Ideas always welcome...
Maybe, but there's certainly something to be said for recognizability. The original has been around a long time and that's not a bad thing.

Happy to hear about the change of mind! Thank you. :appl:

Now, how do I go about getting the OLD logo back on my Windows taskbar? The new logo automatically updated on the taskbar when implemented, but the old one hasn't changed back with 23.70.0324.

If you have XY pinned to the taskbar, close XY, unpin from taskbar, restart XY, pin to taskbar. You may have to do it two or three times before you convince it to what you want. I think it took me three times.

Was this merch for real?

I'm not a fan of shirts, but I would defintiely slap a few XY stickers around the house and on my neighbors windshield.

I'll even print them myself if you've got an .svg or print-ready image

It was half-serious, but here's a vector version you can use: https://www.xyplorer.com/download/XYlogo.pdf

Show photos of your neighbors windshield when done.

Hi Don, maybe you've missed it or you haven't planned on changing it but the icon hasn't been changed back for the Beta Club - the browser favicon (when logged out), the Beta Club homepage (when logged out), and the Beta Club login page.

No sure what you mean by that, Don, but if you're happy with that (now-defunct) icon being there, that's all that matters

I know this is a Firefox issue but the unchanged (blue) icon is really frustrating me. My FF bookmarks favicon reverts to the blue icon when not logged in. Even though I'm able to change it using a third-party app it just keeps changing back. Don, can you please reconsider changing it?

Sorry but I don't understand what you mean by forum 'style'. The difference I've found is between being logged in (the current icon) or not (the defunct blue icon).

when you log in, the forum uses prosilver style which has the black icon
without logging is a different style with blue icon

change [My board style] here ucp.php?i=165

This is correct, if you set prosilver as your board style but there should also be a solution for the other board styles (I prefer we_universal) to get the black/orange logo back.
This worked before the excursion to the blue logo, so maybe Don needs to update the logo for all styles somehow?

And that is exactly my point. The icon has been changed back to the original everywhere but for non-logged in locations. I mentioned this to Don and he thought it looked great. I don't like how it affects the bookmark favicons so I was just asking Don to reconsider changing it.
