Oups, sorry. In list.

In tree inline-renaming isn't working at all (upon RMD and "Umbenennen" the node stays selected and nothing happens).

Hmm, works fine here. Does it work in Explorer?

Version 0204: D300 working again :appl:
Though again: same (slow) speed as always before. :( (But in the moment: don't mind  )

Noticed: clicking + in front of lowest level folder in tree lasts as long as clicking the folder itself. (And: then removing the + ) But: then clicking the folder itself is rather quick 8)

Clicking preview on .jpg or .raw works :D
but both just show imbedded thumbnail
 Preview created by the shell.
 Size 160 x 120 (100%)
 File size 10.566.366 bytes, loaded in 42ms

Sorry: currently don't want to change anything on the card, so no more tests...

OK, I can see and navigate the entire folder structure. I can remane a file in list view -although it takes about 60 seconds with XYplorer not responsive while waiting. Copy/cut /pasting does not seem to work.
But you are making awesome progress!

I don't know if you're still looking for information on which devices can be seen, but I'll share mine: My Samsung Galaxy S III (SGH-T999) shows up just fine in the tree and list. The files aren't yet accessible, but the structure looks good!

Yes.

After some more trials XY is completely "screwed" now. It has stopped to show any file/folder listings, the only thing I see is "Location currently not available".
Neither restarting the phone nor rebooting (!) the PC has "fixed" that.

Unfortunately I don't have any time to check this further, sorry.

Wow, that's long. My experience here is that the first rename can take about 5 seconds, after that it's almost instantaneous.

Anyway, renaming was rather a proof of concept. I think the top-most functionality why Support for Portable Devices is done is: Copy files from the device to the computer, right?

The files aren't yet accessible? What do you mean? You cannot list the files?

Yes, only embedded thumbnails. The size of these thumbnails depends on the application/device that created the files.

You will see later that many things will not work on decives, or work differently. It will mostly be a limited experience compared to the normal XY-perience.

OK: I think seeing files and folder structures, and copying files from and to device are the minimum.
Sure: copying complete folders is to hope for.

Copying means (for me) that backup, i.e. no change of "created & Co" should be available.
(Should isn't must - but... )

Of course seeing previews is rather helpful. So the imbedded thumbs are much much better than nothing :-)

Short: there may be many wishes - but different things are of different importance - no question.
So I'll ask for all I want, knowing you will not implement everything. :ninja:
(And yet I'm not a default user - not (yet!) using a smartphone, but a camera. And planing for the future to continue copying via cardreader 8) OK: if backup will work... :P )

The plan for now is to get the bare minimum working smoothly and bug free. As you see this is already taking weeks (around 12 hours per day heavy coding :ninja: ), and more weeks will come.

Then later we can look at the nice-to-haves...
