Grindax, I think that difference between winrar timestamps and windows timestamps is a winrar bug. I just zipped another file and I get the same difference, 19 hours (at least here, CEST time). Can you confirm? If so, I guess it's worth warning them.

For a couple of months now I'm using 7zip for packing. Before I always used Winzip. Could that cause the trouble?

@grindax: I still use 5.01 x64, I'll try the new version and see if the problem is still there.

@Don: I don't know. Maybe, or maybe not. I just noticed that the same happened with 14.10.0117 and 14.10.0118. But back then grindax had no problems. So all this can't be the cause, but it's peculiar nonetheless.

Ok, from now on the different editions of the Help and History files will be stored as well. If you have better ideas regarding the naming scheme please don't be shy and share :)

Hello! Updated both the timer program and the XYplorerDL program. The timer program now will automatically read XYplorerDL_Timer.ini if it exists. The format of the ini file needs to be:

Code: Select all

[XYplorerDL_Timer_Settings]
TimeMinute=3
obviously with TimeMinute having a value in minutes. In this case, 3 minutes. This ini file makers it easier for processing if you have XYplorer_Timer run on a schedule without the need to attend to it.

XYplorerDL is also updated but it's just a small "bug" fix. Due to the way I coded it (hardcoding the value according to the server response's format), it stopped working when the server changed. It should now be more flexible.

XYplorerDL_1.0.4.zip only gives me connection resets.
any idea why...?

That's odd. Could you describe it more or post a screenshot of the error or something?

Hi Enternal, 2x public thank you's for the bug fix and the added feature to the Timer :beer: :cup: :D
Just tried five minutes ago and it seems to work ok (it was a fresh start). I'll see how it behaves when the next beta will be released, and then I'll add it to the first post, ok?

Yep no problem! And thanks for telling me too since I would not have noticed haha.

@Eternal:
Now I'm getting
"C:\Users\MEUSAR~1\AppData\Local\Temp\oaEx+eRK.zip.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

Try again later, or contact the server administrator."

Seems like an antivirus bleeding... (Avast, in case).

Isn't *.zip.part an incomplete downloaded file?

Yes, but it's how the system does the magic... writes .part into temp, then writes at final destination when it's ready. Nothing I can do about it, I'm afraid...
The other file (as well as anything else from anywhere) has no such problem.

Yeah it seems to be the problem with AntiVirus. I actually submitted XYplorerDL.exe yesterday to avast (I also use avast) since it keeps on flagging it as a malwaregen or something. So perhaps could you try either excluding it or try disabling the shields for 10 minutes and try again to see if it finally works?

The weird part though is that it should not be downloading in the Temp folder. It should be downloading to wherever WGet.exe and XYplorerDL.exe is located. Try opening up a command prompt and tell WGet:

Code: Select all

WGet.exe -O "XYplorer 2014-06-30.zip" http://www.xyplorer.com/download/xyplorer_14.20_beta_noinstall.zip
Is the file downloaded correctly? Also could you get a screenshot of that command window?

Enternal kindly sent me the .zip.
Weird: it was correctly downloaded from mail, I see XYplorerDL.exe inside of it, I can unpack the .zip but then it hangs and without a warning, wipes the .exe out of the created folder. No warnings, nothing. First time I see Avast acting like this. Will do exclusion procedures and the like, but Avast users: be warned!

Thanks, Enternal!
