Switching to Russian gives this for menu bar (all items in menu options are a bunch of ? too):



But status bar is showing properly:


The same seems to happen with Chinese, Korean and Japanese. I read that it could be due to locale setting, but if it works for status bar, why can't it be made to work for the menu bar?

Due to VB limitations menus can't display in Unicode
edit: unless a matching codepage exists and is enabled on user's pc.

Thanks. It is a shame, so I'll just stick to English.

Don't you have Russian system locale? Selecting that should fix this.

I don't know how, but Don can see interface XY of all languages in Deutsch locale.
You must ask him. But he have made it (i think) only for Germany locale.
(logically to see Russian or another language in your locale, you must convert itself lng file in this locale).

Also me I need to select Russian system locale to see Russian characters in the main menu.
