Download the latest TrackerV3 BETA version (v4.00.0149, 25-aug-2005).

Code: Select all

v4.00.0149 - 25.08.05 11:23
    * Adjusting all column widths by dbl-clicking the "#"- or thumbs-
column is now restricted to dbl-clicking those column *headers*.
      This was originally intended anyway.
    * Preview tab: now web file types excluded from preview (via
Configuration/Previewed Formats) will automatically be displayed in
file view mode, i.e. as if they were text files.
+ Menu View, Style List: "Hilite Focused Row" is back. Plus you can
      choose the color (Configuration, Colors).
Note: your Grid Row color might be black after upgrading: just
      change it (Configuration, Colors).
+ Have a big screen? Added more thumb sizes: 180, 240, 320 pixels!

I didn't know what you guys were talking about so I just went and downloaded an old 3.x version of Tracker to find out. I must say, I like the look of the highlighted focused row. Right now I have full row select turned on, but like jacky, that's not really what I want, "Hilite Focused Row" is the functionality/look I'd like.

Not really, it's gone for good.

I'm not sure, I think I thought it's a useless overbloating junk feature. You're the first to complain. I mean, I'm always eager to help the user in need, but somehow it feels more alright if there are at least 2 of them. So, anybody else screaming for the comeback of "Hilite Focused Row"?

Good idea, done.

First of all, I love TrackerV3 :D Really great job you did there!

Code: Select all

+ Configuration/Previewed Formats: now you can choose which web
formats you (don't) want to preview.
that's cool, cause I don't want my PHP files to be previewed, but instead of the message (file type excluded) could they just show up as if they were text files?? That would be great!

BTW I think at one time there was a way to "highlight" the selected row, if that still possible? Cause I really liked that, and now al lI have is the alternate colors thing, which is great, but I'd still love to get a third color for the active row, would be very helpfull I think
Note: I know about the full-row select, but that does more than what I want

Download the latest TrackerV3 BETA version (v4.00.0147, 19-aug-2005).

Code: Select all

 4.00.0147 - 19.08.05 18:09
! Image Preview: some (rare) JPEG Exifs were not parsed correctly.
      Fixed.
! Image Preview: when an image was too large the previous image did
      not disappear. Fixed.
+ Added an ugly little Goto button below the Location field on Find
Files, Name tab. Useful if tree location is different from search
location. Side effect: you can (ab)use the Location field as address
      bar ;)
    + Copy/Paste now works with Ctrl+Ins/Shift+Ins, too.

True. In this case, however, I would re-add the feature since the code is already there (the bug is easy to fix); if I see a good reason for it...

Download the latest TrackerV3 BETA version (v4.00.0142, 04-aug-2005).

Code: Select all

v4.00.0142 - 04.08.05 09:44
+ Menu Edit, Selection Filter...: now you can select files using
Regular Expressions. Simply prefix ">" to the term to tell TrackerV3
that a RegExp term is meant (same as with Find Files Name field).

Use a renaming program like Renamer. TrackerV3 shouldn't try to do everything.
test everything. hold on to the good.

Now, since nobody even noticed that it does not work: are you really sure you need this feature? For what?
This feture is not for every day using nor every week, that's why nobody quickle noticed this problem. But sometimes it is very usefull indeed. For instance when some problems with files long names occure and you need to rename files to restore access to them this feature may help. This is as any other recover or security software: you need it perhaps once at year - or never, but you prefer to have it "for any extreme case".

That's what I found, too :D So I thought: it's useless and it does not work, away with it!
