Well you could just create a directory like "Label (Drive D)"

That's what Explorer does, I know. But do you really want to copy a drive to a folder? It feels funny...

...why do you disable to whole thing for drives (C:\, D:\ and such), why not do like for the Desktop & disabled only Move ?

Menus Move/Copy/Backup To: better en/disabling depending on current selections and focus.

Yes, of course I thought about it. But I figured: there's enough space in the file menu, so why not have them one level nearer here? But maybe the inconsistency is disturbing some innocent users...? Hmm...

BTW, just found out that Explorer's tree is buggy with the icons sometimes: shows green when it should be red and so on. So, XY has beaten Explorer also with overlay icons

Cool. There's not much left to beat Explorer on now. Is there anything left?

But for me the menuitems in the File menu are always disabled, no matter what. (I don't use them, but...)
BTW I see you've hide thoose when right-clicking on a root. Nice, but why not just disabling "Move To"; as one might wanna use the other two...
Oh and they show up on the Desktop, not sure if they should be.
Oh and last, but not least, I really like it

      The three menus are as well to be found under menu File. If using 
      these menus, the objects of the respective file operations are 
      determined by the current focus: If the folder tree is focused, 
      the current tree folder will be moved/copied/backupped. Else the 
      currently selected file list items will be moved/copied/backupped.
    ! Icon overlays: fixed several glitches.
    * Preview of Office files: Office does not always like its currently 
      used files to be opened by other apps. From now on XY will display a 
      message instead: "Office file is currently opened by another 
      application."

      TortoiseSVN, a Windows Explorer Shell extension). To show icon 
      overlays (which will somewhat slow down browsing) check "Show icon 
      overlays" in Configuration/Advanced.
