Currently I see a number of possibilities. Not decided yet which is best. This topic is not of top priority to me now. Come back next year (and open a new topic under "Wishes").legion1978 wrote:Sure that would cover it..admin wrote:Other idea: use the tree area alternatively as image/video preview space. When you then hide the panel and drag the vertical splitter far to the right you have a very large preview area.
Here's the new BETA (32-bit)

Re: Here's the new BETA
Download the latest TrackerV3 BETA version (v4.20.0057, 22-nov-2005).
Code: Select all
v4.20.0057 - 22.11.05 11:41
+ Toolbar: added Find button.
+ Toolbar: added Configuration button.
+ Configuration: the checkbox lists on Previewed Formats and File
Info Tips now have a context menu which allows you to quickly
select/unselect all items.
! Locked-tab-forced opening an existing tab instead of creating a
new one did not work when the target was a drive. Fixed.
! After "going home" on a tab, the updated locked state (which is
stored in the home definition) was not correctly reflected in the
tab headers underlining. Fixed.

Well, this post should be in the bugs department...pissant wrote:Can we please avoid unnecessary posts here?
I'm running 4.20.0056. I opened the Find Files tab, with the Name & Location sub-tab selected. I hit Alt+L, thinking it would jump to the Location text box. Instead, Alt+L toggles the Name filter, for some reason. This doesn't seem like intended behavior.
Fixed it, thanks.
Can we please avoid unnecessary posts here?
[Edit: I thought that since I'm running the beta, this post would go here. Every other similar forum I've been in works that way.]

You are using "natural" and "obvious" to mean the same thing, so your statement is obviously of redundant naturejacky wrote:admin wrote:Well, natural is what you are used to...... no plans to change it.
Natural isn't always what you're used to, more what sounds obvious to you I'd say, besides I'm not used to it
(eh.. can't you make it an option![]()
)
... the point is: some other users are used to it, and worse: one of them is me!

EDIT: ok, it did not work with drives...

well i do believe that panel can be re-arranged vertically, since the space it uses is practically the same... maybe the exclude folders panel can be placed to the bottom of the others, it would be visible all the time...that way youll know which ones are when you perform the search.
so..
so..

Yes, the advantage for pics is obvious. But what about the Find Files tabs? They will be visually destroyed...legion1978 wrote:this is what i meant
