Sure that would cover it..
Currently I see a number of possibilities. Not decided yet which is best. This topic is not of top priority to me now. Come back next year (and open a new topic under "Wishes").

Re: Here's the new BETA

Download the latest TrackerV3 BETA version (v4.20.0057, 22-nov-2005).

Code: Select all

v4.20.0057 - 22.11.05 11:41
    + Toolbar: added Find button.
    + Toolbar: added Configuration button.
+ Configuration: the checkbox lists on Previewed Formats and File
Info Tips now have a context menu which allows you to quickly
      select/unselect all items.
! Locked-tab-forced opening an existing tab instead of creating a
new one did not work when the target was a drive. Fixed.
! After "going home" on a tab, the updated locked state (which is
stored in the home definition) was not correctly reflected in the
      tab headers underlining. Fixed.

I'm running 4.20.0056. I opened the Find Files tab, with the Name & Location sub-tab selected. I hit Alt+L, thinking it would jump to the Location text box. Instead, Alt+L toggles the Name filter, for some reason. This doesn't seem like intended behavior.
Well, this post should be in the bugs department...

Fixed it, thanks.

Can we please avoid unnecessary posts here?

[Edit: I thought that since I'm running the beta, this post would go here. Every other similar forum I've been in works that way.]

 Natural isn't always what you're used to, more what sounds obvious to you I'd say, besides I'm not used to it :P
(eh.. can't you make it an option  ;))
You are using "natural" and "obvious" to mean the same thing, so your statement is obviously of redundant nature

... the point is: some other users are used to it, and worse: one of them is me!

Hmmm, sure?
no. ;) Did some more tests, it actually seems to work, but only if the location I'm trying to go to (which has an active tab) is a subfolder, aka it won't work with drive's roots (D:\, F:\, etc).

yeah I had to bump this one :D Any plan on 'changing' it? not really a bug deal but it sounds more "natural/intuitive" to me ;)

admin wrote:v4.20.0030:

Code: Select all

    * When trying to change the location of a locked tab, a new tab was
opened automatically. Now, this happens only if a tab with that
location does not exist already, in which case this old tab will
be automatically selected. The search for an existing tab is done
      from left to right
Is this gone? cause it doesn't work anymore for me :(
Hmmm, sure?

EDIT: ok, it did not work with drives...

well i do believe that panel can be re-arranged vertically, since the space it uses is practically the same... maybe the exclude folders panel can be placed to the bottom of the others, it would be visible all the time...that way youll know which ones are when you perform the search.
so..

what do you think?
Yes, the advantage for pics is obvious. But what about the Find Files tabs? They will be visually destroyed...
