Portable Device Access..

Post by aimy »

I'm quite sure this issue might be already pointed out here, but I just couldn't think of the right keyword for it.

Straight to the point, I wish XYplorer could also be used for accessing portable device like this...

Well at least be able to access the memory card of the phone.

Thank you.

Roadmap (link in my sig) already has this as "- Support for Non-Drive Devices"

It's still on the roadmap in red, so it's still coming. While it isn't always true, it is usually arranged in chronological order, so that may give you some idea.

Still no workaround? Can we not find an interm through scripting? I could really use it for my Galaxy S3. Thanks.

the only workaround is to switch your devices in "usb-mode" =my Sansa player connects as external drive anyways, but only one mode allows XY to see it as simple usb-drive.

Having *finally* got a Jelly Bean update for my LG O2x (http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=p990) I could really use this feature as well since ICS defaults to MTP.

Also, while I was originally resistant to the idea of using MTP as a default, I can see the sense in it since with it you can browse the contents of the phone in Windows and let the phone still access the data as well.
Used to update to the latest beta every day. Now I have children instead…

+1 I would love to have this soon! I am so used to XY that I cringe every time I need to use Explorer to get into my phone.

Any updates on this? one year has passed. Is it too difficult to implement?

Kind of: I need a new Windows first. :) Don't worry, it's on top of my list. It's the most wished of all wishes.
