Middle mouse "Open in new tab"

My suggestion: Middle mouse "Open in new tab" for the Bookmarks and Drives drop-down lists. So I don't have to SHIFT-click

This functionality seems intuitive due how web browsers work. Thank you

Not possible, because menus in native windows don't support middle click. Webbrowser actually use custom controls to draw their interface, so they can support middle click in their menus.

To be completely honest,
BC features custom dropdowns that support middle click (they're not Windows native menus), so your question could become: hey Don, are you going to implement your custom control in a number of other menus?
