Not exactly a new feature, but

Code: Select all

v11.40.0202 - 2012-08-17 20:58
+ Configuration | Extended | Custom items in shell context menu |
File List: Added one item (for files only):
        Replace with File in Clipboard
Replaces the contents of the selected file with the contents of
the file in clipboard. The selected file keeps its filename, just
      the contents are updated.
      Notes:
      - You are prompted before the replacement happens.
      - The action cannot be undone, always runs in the foreground,
and is performed by kernel API (no Custom Copy or Shell Copy
        involved).
      - The file in clipboard is not deleted even if it had been "cut"
        to the clipboard.
      - The command is not visible by factory default.
is awesome! I use it a lot.

A basic feature, common in many applications, just got a whole lot better -- the XYplorer way!

Code: Select all

    * Tree: Now on Full Row Select you can still trigger right-click on
empty when you hit the area left of the nodes.
Thanks for sqeezing that in before winter. :D

I like the MDBU right click feature added in 13.00. I can keep an image on the screen, just so long as I don't click on the image it stays on screen, good for comparing, thanks :)

I didn't notice this in the earlier versions, but the status bar shows the statistics of move operations on Using the move up option.

It may be handy for other operations as well. It may be complicated on parallel operations but might be useful when only a single file operation is performed and there is none waiting in background.

I like the new "Zoom to fill" feature. Unfortunately though, I'm frequently cropping new photos to suit different monitor aspect ratios so when doing that, "Zoom to fill" is not what you want to have "enabled". You want to see directly what the aspect ratio is, so having "Zoom to fill" on is a bit misleading for that purpose. It's obvious when the pic is 16x9 vs 4x3 or 3x2; it's not with "Zoom to fill" on. I like the fact also that you implemented the feature for floating preview, I'll definitely use it there.
Thanks Don,
Ken

Ok, these are small ones, but let me say thank you for it. I work with multi branch view a lot and these make my work so smooth when I use them repeatedly.

Code: Select all

v12.70.0000 - 2013-07-23 12:00
+++ Line Number Selection. A revolutionary new way to toggle select
files. It's like checkbox selection without the checkboxes.

Code: Select all

v12.90.0005 - 2013-09-15 13:37
+ Multi Branch View: Now toggling back to normal view from a Multi
Branch View will restore the multi-folder selection, the scroll
      position, and the focus position.
(I don't really like the real checkboxes. They just occupy my space.)

Thanks! :D

Let me add a review of the near future: The next four weeks will bring some extremely hot stuff to your homes, some of it so revolutionary that I cannot even tell you the working title of it now (industrial espionage is always down under around the corner, you know what I mean...).

+ Tweak GoUpIsBack: If set to 1 then when going up and the
destination is identical to the one you would reach if you went
back in history, then go back in history.
