Default Selected Row color + default text color = invisible

Post by j_c_hallgren »

Unless I've done something unusual, I had a very hard time finding the "Selected Row" box in Config since it appears that the default color for it and text are both black, thus making the verbiage in box invisible so if there is way to eliminate this black-on-black condition, I think that would be a nice touch...as I just saw this black box and didn't realize that it was an option...yes, I probably could have tried to click on it  but never occured to me due to solid color.

hmm.. I think that would mean you had your Focused Row color set to black (and since the List Text Color is probably black aswell...)

Not sure why you'd have it set to black though, unless you did it yourself ;) But that reminds me of something: I know someone who had once "something" happend, don't ask me what/how I have no idea, but then his background color for List in Find mode was set to black; which caused him to think the FF feature was broken! :?

As I said, no idea what happened, but I'm pretty sure that
a/ it was NOT set to black before
b/ he did NOT changed it manually

All that to say, maybe something similar happened here to j_c_hallgren which somehow caused to change his focused row color (btw everyone: turn the Highlight Focused Row ON now!! it's a must-use feature!!)

 Maybe I'd changed the color to black some long time ago when I first started using XY, but don't recall doing so...as when I right-clicked, it set it to RGB=247's...hummmm...anyway, I'll admit to a DUH moment, but still might be nice if text and backgound end up both set to same color, the text color for description of that box be set to a different color, maybe just 'white' so at least a dumb user (like me for this one) could find the box again?

might be nice, but there would be a lot of possiiblity to cover, or not all of them would be covered. For example, I cannot read the text on my Selected Rows box, cause it's way to close to black. Yet it's not the same color, but if you don't look closely you might not even notice that there's something written in it!

Maybe when the Configuration will be Tree'ed and not Tabbed (XY6?) we'll have more space and thre could be labels both inside the box, to see how it goes, and outside to always know what it is....
