Is there a way to toggle the Tree/Catalog scrollbar?

Is there a way to toggle the Tree/Catalog scrollbar?

I'm wondering this because it would save screen space. It is possible to scroll using the mouse wheel like is possible with the toolbar (the toolbar doesn't need a scrollbar). The scrollbar sometimes gets in the way and truncates the names in the catalog.
I want XY to serve soft ice cream. Please Don, make XY serve soft ice cream.
