Confirm File Replace - Advanced Options

Post by lukescammell »

This is something that I've always wanted in WE and that I think many others would also find useful.

If you are cutting/copying and pasting a bunch of files to a new location and some files with identical filenames already exist at the location, you get a "Confirm File Replace" popup. I would love for this popup to have a "No to All" button and an "Advanced" button added which, when pressed, opens further options that could be performed on the paste operation.

IMO these kind of options would make also sense to have in the "Move To" popup.

The deafult Windows Explorer CFR popup:

Constructive criticism?

It's Don's call, but as far as I know XY relies on standard WE-API for that one...

Exactly. Stuff like this will come only when I replace that API by my own handling, including better progress bars and other cool options. Later, folks...

Meantime, a workaround for "No to all", hold shift key while you click No.

Yeah, and this will be a pretty cool thing, because Windows way of handling all that just sucks, amazingly bad!
