Hello again 8)

Possibly my mistake, but I can't translate the two entries (8.24) below.

Rediger.png (108.59 KiB) Viewed 4631 times
I'm guessing on these two:

ms.1185=01|New.txt|--|Ny.txt
ms.1186=01|New{menuitem}|--|Ny

But XYPlorer doesn't seem to read the translation.
Kind regards

Those items don't appear in translation because that's a listing of items found in Data\NewItems. Don't worry.

Exactly as Marco said. Additionally, you can find more about that in help, if you copy and paste the following line in address bar:

Code: Select all

::help ("idh_menedit.htm#idh_meneditnewitems")
If for instance a Danish user puts Danish-named files/folders in that directory the effect should be seen.

Updated from v12.50.0009 to v12.50.0013 and selecting a language file (or disabling "Back to English") now leaves many parts (mostly menu items & radio buttons) of the main interface unaffected. Is this supposed to be this way?

Yes, the current BETA version is not in sync with the last reference.lng file (Reference_8.33.lng). It should work fine when you try it with v12.50.0000.

Reference_8.34.lng will be published once I have those ZIP features ready.

GUI: Download language file dlg

Post by Borut »

Download language file dialog: The caption area for a "Load language after dialog" checkbox seems to be too short, even for English (maybe in the font I am using - haven't tested factory, but it should have more width anyhow).

You sure? Seems there's a lot of space, even in Italian.

Am not 100% sure, but it seems that on http://www.xyplorer.com/images/whatsnew/Japanese3.png in lower right corner, second line from the bottom, a GUI problem (not enough space for translated string) can be seen?

That's right, but this didn't happen with Tahoma. When you specify a Latin font for interface, Japanese strings are automatically replaced with a Japanese font. For Tahoma, MS UI Gochic, which is relatively small and optimized for user interfaces, is used for Japanese. But for Segoe UI, Meiryo, wider and not suitable for interfaces, is apparently used for some reason. Tahoma as the default font or a field for the default font in each language file may solve this problem.

Thanks for spotting this! I found a handful of those place, but luckily all can be easily fixed in the layout by making the places a little wider. (And I need to make a new promo screenshot :mrgreen: )

Yes, that would be a way, but Tahoma seems to have the Yen/Backslash problem, at least on my system.
