Apparently (quick research) there is no verb "to hash" in English with the meaning I intended: create the hash value of a file (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hash_function). Surprising, I always had the impression that English is infinitely productive when it comes to creating verbs from other words.

Thanks!!

So as my understanding, the hashing function is similar to "mapping" or "indexing". Am I right?

I think I know how to translate it.

Yes, kind of. Hashing attempts to find a unique number for a file depending on the contents of the file. This number can be used to compare files by content.

I already finished the translation for 8.23.

If I want to translate 8.24 now, how can I check the update in new version?
(which line had been added, deleted, or modified.)

- You need to run the latest BETA of XYplorer (download here in the forum).
- Then you load ChineseTraditional_8.23.lng into it and open the ITT.
- In the ITT you do Ctrl+D (= menu File | Upgrade Language File (Download))

Now 8.23 is upgraded to 8.24: You will immediately see the changes and additions. When you save it, it will be automatically saved as ChineseTraditional_8.24.lng.

At Langeuage File Downlaod, it mentions the translator can get license for free.
And how can I get that?

Send me a PM with your desired registration name and I'll send it to you. I can also add one for your girl friend(s).

Bug Found!!!

When I use "ChineseTraditional_8.24.LNG",
after I select 'Help -> Back to English' and back to Chinese again, all the menu items is messed up.
(But it ok on "ChineseTraditional_8.23.LNG")

I don't know what's wrong with it.

Hm, bad. I cannot reproduce it here. It *seems* alright (of course, I only see "?" instead of Chinese characters in the menu).

I had tried French_8.24, it's OK too.

I also tried Vietnamese_8.24, it's just scrambled on showing words, all the submenu item still at the original position.

But in Chinese_8.24, each time I back to English & back to Chinese, all the menu & submenu go to the wrong position.

I can only get the error in Vietnamese (I tried all languages). Difficult bug, because Vietnamese is a very special case anyway, different from all other languages because of the exceptionally many diacritics. So the Vietnamese bug I see might be a different one from your bug. But I'm trying ...
