Pls give me an example of dropping on script/CTB

Post by binocular222 »

Latest Beta allow dropping on script and CTB, dropped items is referred to as <get drop>
I just cannot imagine how this should be useful. You surely must select items before dropping them, thus <get drop> and <curitem> would be the same. Why not just click on CTB/script and process <curitem>?
I'm a casual coder using AHK language. All of my xys scripts:

For example, you can also drag-drop files from any other apps.

Don,

just out of the time-for-carefully-reading-every-exciting-news-posted-here-is-running-too-low-for-months-now-syndrome:
What's the functional difference to the droppable catalog script targets (open with..)?

Thanks,

None. It just works for buttons now as well.

Wait, there is one: You have 2 scripts per button: left-drop and right-drop.

I take it as a new possibility to customize XYplorer. Maybe dropping to a button fits better somebody's work logic. And that is why I do love XY. I could build my environment by using buttons, catalogs, minitree, colors freely, everything grouped according to my taste. I was even able to put a script into the favorite folders menu, when my environment logic requested it. :!:
