PIMs (personal information managers)

Post by gtm »

Presently there is no PIM that has all the following :

- Contacts with categories, customizable fields
- Calendar (like in outlook)
- Todo list (hierarchical)
- Notes (heirarchical)
- Encryption
- Import/export features
- Portable software
- Has way to sync with android, iphone, windows phone

EPIM Pro comes close to above. But they don't have a way to sync with phones directly.

Thunderbird Portable + Lightning + calendar providers + some other add-ons (for the contacts). Everything except the to-do list.

I have been using Efficient Man's Organizer Free for some time now and love it. It has all the functions that I need and more (For Free!!!) and it also comes in a portable format too.

Here are some of the functions:

Contacts
To Do
Reminder
Password Manager
Diary
Notebook
Scheduler
Planner
and much more.
