How to open folders in new tabs instead of the current one?
So I have a testing machine here where XYplorer is (of course)
the primary file manager. Double-clicking a folder automatically overrides the current tab. How to open a new one instead? Could not find an option for that.
Re: How to open folders in new tabs instead of the current o
Tools=>Configuration=>Startup & Exit=>enable "Open command line start path in new tab"
and maybe disable "Allow multiple instances"
and maybe disable "Allow multiple instances"

Ah, this is the "command line start path". Things which are described rather blurrily...
Thanks.
Thanks.

From windows desktop or desktop folder inside XYplorer?tux. wrote:From the desktop, I mean.
For latter, hold shift and double-click.
For former, check options in menu Tools>Configuration>Shell integration.

The Windows desktop was meant.

OK, so I guess you have already checked the option "XYplorer is default file manager".tux. wrote:The Windows desktop was meant.
To open a folder (from outside XY) in a new tab, check the option vsub mentioned already;
Is this not working??vsub wrote:Tools=>Configuration=>Startup & Exit=>enable "Open command line start path in new tab"

Or hold SHIFT. This works (i.e. will open a new tab) with all location changes within XY.vsub wrote:Middle click

he wants to open from outside XY, so i suggested making XY default first and then have the option "Open command line start path in new tab" checked.admin wrote:Or hold SHIFT. This works (i.e. will open a new tab) with all location changes within XY.vsub wrote:Middle click

Yes, my post was directed to vsub and his understanding of the OP. While Middle click works, SHIFT is the more general method (my mouse e.g. has no middle click since I programmed it to be a double click).serendipity wrote:he wants to open from outside XY, so i suggested making XY default first and then have the option "Open command line start path in new tab" checked.admin wrote:Or hold SHIFT.
