Drag Drop Browser Address Bar

Post by n37 »

When trying to drag and drop the address bar to create a link to current a blank file is created.

This usually works with all websites but for some reason it is broken with this article (I tested Firefox x64 and Chrome x32)

This is the link that causes problems:

I can confirm on 10.90.0011
I think the problem is caused by the ":" in the title. In fact refreshing the list shows empty files named as the page title till the ":".
You're lucky because my rss feeds provided me similar problematic pages that confirms my explanation.
Try these:
http://attivissimo.blogspot.com/2012/03 ... barco.html
http://www.tomshw.it/cont/news/nuovo-ip ... 357/1.html
Do they show the same behaviour (they do on my system)?

Excuse my late response, this bug is still not fixed (10.9) . If you'd like me to test with a Beta let me know.

It sucks because I end up trying to drop it in the dropbox, then it fails, so I CTRL+P>CTRL+R>CTRL+V and open an explorer window and drag it into there. This kinda defeats the purpose and fluency of use.

Cannot reproduce any problem with the link above, everything works as expected.

Did you test 10.90.0300?
