:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Cannot sort folders by size after shift+F5

Post by surrender »

Try this on any tab having few folders with diff sizes:

1. Sort by size.
2. Press shift+F5
3. The folders in the size column are not sorted and clicking again and again on size column doesnt sort it either.
4. Instead, sort by name or any other attribute and come back to sort by size and its sorted properly.

Thats a knonw behavior of XY I beleive, you need to do Sort Again (Shift+Ctrl+F5, or menu View/Sort By/Sort Again)

Oh!! I never used sort again (Shift+Ctrl+F5) before and thats why i am not aware of this. I just intuitively tried to sort by clicking the column. But isnt it worth getting the sort to work by simply clicking??

Yes, you're probably right -- less irritation, more fans! The clean way would be to set the list to "unsorted" internally if it was sorted on Size before. The little pyramid in the column head will disappear then...

PS: ah, I rather do the re-sorting automatically! The service will be appreciated, won't it?
