hmm atually, I think I liked it better before. I dont really use it so often, but what was pretty cool (for me) was to be able to change the size very easilly using the mouse wheel ;)
Can't be done with the scroll now, you gotta click & hold down, really not as easy/natural to me...

 before actually seing it, I kinda thought you went crazy :P

I only use font preview rarely, but I will say that having a dropdown was a bit more obvious as to what that option did...the unmarked/untitled scrollbar could leave a new user unaware of what it does...so I'd suggest putting some sort of a heading/title on both it and the text box.
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

My wheel does it, sorry for you. :P

The impulse to change it came from the sucking "speed" of the VB ComboBox. I don't know what's happening there but whoever programmed this must have had a very bad day. It takes about 1 ms per item to add (yes, I use the API trick -- otherwise it's even slower) ... this is madness! In 1 ms I could do thousands of things... Sooner or later I'll make my own Combo.

I agree that the combo was more obvious, especially since we add the size shown there. But not sure about adding a label though, esp. for the textbox (pretty obvious it is the text used in the preview IMHO)

It does! :? Damn, stupid wheel of mine :(
But why wouldn't it work for me there, works fine to scroll when hovering Catalog, List, Tree, LM or even in Config (Previewed formats). Why not just there??

jacky: I was only suggesting labeling textbox for consistency...yes, it may be pretty obvious, but one never knows with a new user!

Check your mouse settings. I believe to recall I had some inconsistencies with scrolling myself, but since I got rid of the setting "universal scroll" for my middle mouse button (which is the wheel actually) it works.
