Catalog - Expand all categories?

A while ago (2 months maybe) the catalog displayed all categories in an expanded state.

One beta version must have changed this behavior and I'd like to know if it's still possible
to achieve this view (atm there is only one category expanded and if you expand a different
one the last one will be "closed" automatically).

At least I'm unable to find an option anywhere to restore the old behavior
