Hello, long-time user, first time commenter.
I really like the definable color filters in XYplorer -- I have a giant list of various filters based on folders, types, etc... One thing that would make this feature even more effective and useful is a settable alpha channel in the filter colors.
A couple motivating examples:
I sometimes like to use a dark background for my lists, and sometimes light, and If I decide to switch, I have to change a whole bunch of filters to match up. I know that the background can be left blank, but for example, I have a bunch of filters with a light gray bg, which would then need to be a dark grey to get the same effect when the list bg is black. If I could set the transparency, I could just set these to mid grey, mostly transparent, and leave them.
As another example, you could set a few date based overlays, so that files older than 1 week, 1 month 1 year etc... could get increasingly dimmer (or more fuschia or something, whatever your preference)

Yes, I see your point. I make a note for later.

Re: Transparency in color filters
Old but gold — can we display files or their labels as (semi-)transparent?
I'd like to do this for hidden files and folders.
