Yep, that was it.
I didn't like the XYplorer context menu, too many things in there
And with that context menu on, I don't have all the options
from different software, like Winrar (extract here...)
I always have to click Shell Context Menu first
and that sucks a bit.

that's why I disabled it.

Hi,
the copy freeze thing was gone, because of not using the internal windows copy/move shell context menu.
And it worked perfectly. All the moves and copys were backgrounded and I could still click around.

Since Update 921 the problem is back.
I can't do anything while copying or moving.
Still using xyplorer context menu

Anyway, are you using the Copy and Paste commands from the items' context menu? If yes, you should try this tweak and see if it makes any difference:

921? There was no 921.

Oh yes there was, although the change log showed it as 0912 the XY itself showed 0921. i guess typo.
Other than that i cant confirm anything on copy freeze itself.

As the version before .0911 came up as .0920 - even a bigger typo I guess

It is the same still in the newest version 9.90.0923
It started with a beta version a week ago.
before that I could click around while copying or moving,
so the copy or move was in the background

Yes, I use the Xyplorer context Menu, not the windows one.

When I uninstall and use the 9.90.0900 non beta version, it works perfectly

I need to fully understand how you copy. Please describe exactly (with screenshot of possible) how you copy to clipboard and how you paste in to the target location. Are you seeing a statusbar message "shell copy done" when copying to clipboard?

When I copy with ctrl c and Paste with ctrl v it is recognized as a background job and works
But I normally right click on the file, hold the right click, move the mouse to the location, release click and select in the
xyplorer menu copy here.
There is no job in background job list of that.

The weird is thing is just that it worked all the time with the older beta versions.
