Don't reset position when returning to previous directory

Post by vegard »

Small nuisance.

This is where I am, this is where I return.

I would like to return to where I was.

If possible.

EDIT: Oh, the order of the images got swapped.

Backspace.

It happens as in the screenshots, when you are further down in the list of directories than can be displayed on the screen.

Backspace is not history, Backspace is UP.

Try Alt+Left to go back in History, or remap your keyboard shortcuts.

Okay then, but is there an actual reason why it can't just go back / UP to where it were?

Well, UP is something different from BACK, why should it behave like BACK?

I dunno, does it behave like UP now?

...not that it's important, I'll just remap I guess.

I just saw that in Win7's Explorer BACK indeed goes back. In XP BACK goes up. So I can understand your surprise.
