First of all thank you for such a truly awesome well thought out File Manager. XYplorer has it all especially mixed sorting of file and folder together along with an excellent batch rename and excellent search function (better than Windows). Thank you.
My first 4 requests, below, are my most important requests and they are number highlighted;
1. A 'Select All/Deselect All' tickbox above each 'preview formats' in configurations>preview formats options window. I have ringed where each tickbox above each format should go in this screenshot; screenshot image link or same screenshot image link. Now I was given a tip on how to Unselect all by method of right-clicking on the list which is ok but I still feel a tickbox above each is needed as this is more clearer and primary for a first time user without the user having to ask the question of where it is/how to do it.
2. Renaming Profiles - I would so love if you could implement a type of way to save and re-use custom 'renaming profiles' in the batch rename profile. Ok this might already be possible in XY but please read on for my proposal. Up to 50 profiles can be saved, even more. Each profile is just the way a user last batch renamed some files. Perhaps this feature already exists but located elsewhere. Anyway I took a screenshot to show you where the new choices would go in here; screenshot image link or same screenshot image link - Basically you would have something like 3 buttons like 'save profile' 'manage profile' and a third button would be a drop-down menu listing each profile ready to select and use. You can guess from 'manage profile' that it is from pressing that button a small size window would appear to the user for the ability to rename,delete and edit the renaming profile. Awesome huh? I really would love this in XYplorer.
3. When I create a new folder in XYplorer and I have my favourite sort column 'date modified' enabled, I would like the newly created folder to instantaneously sort itself at the top of the file list instead of right at the bottom. Usually this corrects itself in after a few seconds (maybe Windows adding a modification time) but it would be nice if XYplorer could sort it immediately at the top or an option to enable this. Additionally I always keep the setting "sort folders apart" disabled and disabling this option is one of my favourite features of XYplorer (next to the superior search function). So perhaps too, this issue is relating to wanting to add a sub-setting to to this, something along the lines of 'Newly created folders on top' for which I could select.
4. Ability to tidy Explorer menu by putting it into one single sub-menu called 'Windows Explorer' using computer icon on the context menu. By this, I am referring to when right-clicking on any file/s as some Windows users, like myself, have multiple COM shell extensions installed in my Win Vista OS. The option to enable/disable this 'smart sub-menu' should be in the XYplorer settings. I made this; screenshot image link or same screenshot image link

Re: My Feature Requests, please
Hi and welcome to the XY forums!
Having said that, I'll now repost from an appropriate earlier one of mine the following as adapted to you/today:
The way you presented it makes it somewhat difficult to respond to it and more importantly, I suspect you will definitely find some negative responses since it's your first post here...now you wouldn't join a club and then try to tell them how to run their business on your first visit in real life, right? Same principle here....
I've found that Don tends to HATE long lists of requests especially by new/newer forum users and highly prefers that ideas be spread over time...so I'd suggest you edit your first post to a max of 4 or 5 that you think are the most valuable or critical to you and others and wait for some time (suggest no more than one req per week) to post those others again...as a matter of fact, lists like this by new users tend to get the LEAST attention by Don as he sometimes even considers these as troll posting.
Also, there are some items that (I do believe) have been discussed here before so just checking to makes sure you've searched the forum to find any prior threads...I'm pretty sure some of these items have been considered by Don previously...and some are likely features that XY has already but under different names/methods than you may be used to...that's why you need to learn XY a bit more first.
Please don't take offense at this reply but I've seen thousands of threads here and thus have some ideas of how to get things implemented or done here...

Many thanks for your understanding!haddy wrote:Have edited the list down to just my 4 most important.
I'm not a official forum moderator but I do try and help Don keep this place under some control which he appreciates..I'm a bit busy with some other tasks but saw your post and wanted you to get started here on the right foot and not the left, if you will.

Re: My Feature Requests, please
Your screenshots are from version 9.10 which is quite old. The first wish for example stops making sense when you look at the current version. So please get the current version, and revise your wishes, thanks. I would really prefer you select your favorite wish and leave it at that. BTW, this forum supports appending screenshots.
