A lot of audio professionals have started to use XYplorer because of its superb preview and search functionalities, me included. With huge libraries of sound files XYplorer is a really well-working, low cost alternative to other audio database softwares that are ten times more expensive. The only major omission point is a very common audio format, REX2. I wonder if it would be possible to add simple playback support for this, so files could be previewed? It is the quickness of the preview functionality that is the reason why xyplorer is so good for pro audio work.

REX2 file format support
Re: REX2 file format support
No. Most audio software also need this .DLL file to enable playback, which is put into windows/system32 directory.

Re: REX2 file format support
I'm afraid, the only chance to play it in XY is to find a codec or whatever is needed to play it in WMP. Does WMP play it when this DLL is present?MCS wrote:No. Most audio software also need this .DLL file to enable playback, which is put into windows/system32 directory.

Sadly, no. It was a long shot anyway. Maybe I'll get windows to do it somehow, although google doesn't seem to think it's possible.
