[Solved] XYCOPY - C:\windows\temp\ out of control

XYplorer is making millions of 512KB TMP0000[6E21347BA5464387A417] (where in brackets is random) files in C:\Windows\Temp\, I renamed one of these files and it says original filename is XyCopy.exe, it made so many files i actually ran out of hdd space (20 gigs in these tmp files). when i try to delete one it makes another one, really strange.

This looks like a bug if its not how can i turn off these files from being made.

I'm not sure how *copies* of XYcopy.exe could end up in C:\Windows\Temp: the original is in \Program Files\XYplorer and is executed from there by XYplorer. Could you post your Windows version and also what security software you use?

ehem sorry found out it was micros*ft windows defender doing this, what a pos piece of software.

It would be better (I think) if you:
1) Edit topic to remove "MAJOR BUG" and substitute "Solved" instead.
2) Edit your first post to add a note giving actual cause...and say as opening phrase "It appears that XY.." instead.

Because...should someone else have this issue, they can then find this solution, ok?
