Just thinking if It makes sense to have a button to the Favorites folders, as the image above, on the Copy to/Move to dialog boxes.
Wondering what would others think about it.

My first thought was: Isn't that already available? Via File>Move/Copy/Bkup>Copy? That method/path gives various choices, right? Or am I missing something obvious?Lare2 wrote:Wondering what would others think about it.
You might be "missing" an obvious thing: Lare2 isn't talking about the same interface. Yes those are available from the menu interface, but not the window one, and there are plenty reasons one would rather use that one, from easier to use to ability to specify unexisting (variable-filled) paths, etcj_c_hallgren wrote:My first thought was: Isn't that already available? Still a bit puzzled...BUT...I also realized that Lare2 might be referring to the Windows Favorites and not XY "Favorite Folders" which are totally different, true?jacky wrote:You might be "missing" an obvious thing: Lare2 isn't talking about the same interface. Seems to me you're making a few assumptions here. I mean, what if one uses that feature/gets that window using only TB or KS, or even menu Edit? Then there's no way to access those lists (Favorites, Tabs). And it's not the same to have a way through menu to trigger something, and to have similar possibilities via a windowed GUI. (Besides, who said one wanted to chose one item from either one of those list, one might simply want to select it/have it set in the window's location field, only to then add a subfolder or something as to obtain the actual destination for the file operation...)j_c_hallgren wrote:Now as to my confusion: Isn't that dialog that one gets via Edit>Copy To (or TB) the same as File>M/C/B>Copy To>Copy to? (And also avail via context menu)...And that one could choose the other path and get File>MC/B>Copy to>Favorite instead? See, that's why I don't get it...because it seems that just by choosing another option gets to the possible desired one? Yes, it's just another step or so but not that convoluted.
Indeed a bug, thanks! Fixed.jacky wrote:Side note since we're there: Is this normal behavior: a right-click on the list of those M/C/B To window pops up a "Sort Destination" menu, but after you used it or clicked away (or ESC) then another menu pops up (to Copy All/Current Items) ?
