Not as worse as one might think.

1) About 90% of "Licensing problems" turn out to be user errors, mostly typos...

2) Even when on holiday I regularly check the forum via internet cafés. I can always PM a user in trouble once he shows up in the forum, and I have ways to generate and email license keys from anywhere in the world. I'm a programmer... :)

3) I think this problem has been resolved. The user never sent me the key. One can only guess why... (Tip: The error message the user mentioned only shows on illegal keys. But maybe it was just a typo...)

I never sent the key because id like to stay anonymous, if you read my full post(s) it does it even in trial mode. so that rules out the key. Don i understand your trying to protect your program but something you changed broke it, at least in windows 7 64bit, I have spent alot of time here and have helped you out on some issues before to make your program better and stable on systems you can't test on, mostly Unicode/64bit issues, and you accuse me of an fake key?

I have tried a clean install of v8.10.0010, even typing the key into the "GUI" registration box so that rules out a typo. anyways if you want to accuse me then I won't come here anymore and ill help out your competitors who actually appreciate it.

:? Why would a user who's been here this long want to be anonymous from the developer? I can understand not being known to other users here maybe but can't think of any good reason why you'd hide from Don if you're a legit user...now I may be the exception as my info is wide open due to fact that I run a business using the web also, but what harm could exist by giving Don your key info...I'm really puzzled...

You've provided some valuable posts here and I hope you remain as part of the XY group, and I MOST definitely don't want you helping out the competition but also know that lately Don has really been suffering with a lot of "users" who are not legit so that may have influenced his reply.
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

.. it does "it", what it? I understood you were complaining about a "Licensing problem", now you get a Licensing problem in Trial mode??? :? Your first post in this thread was:
noir wrote:similar problem just pop-uped up today for me too in .0008 upgraded from 0004 i think, in windows 7 64, said something about my license, only happens in windows 7 64, runs fine for hours in my virtualbox /w XP 32bit, (unless i wasn't supposed to run it under two OS and it broke it :X).
So, what did it say about your license? Well, later you mentioned the exact error message in another post in this thread. And this message you only get with an invalid key (be it cracked or mistyped). No need to get offended. I'm just reporting the facts to help you with your Licensing problem!

you've already drawn your own conclusion so ill just leave it at that, hopefully someone else will have the same problem. Until then ill just use another explorer replacement, and might even get involved in ultraexplorer since I like Delphi.

I'm not even sure i want to stay with your software after this, But i foreseen this happening, I have worked with other company's like this before such as acdsee, when it was owned by a previous owner it was like here, then the company slowly grows, the developer gets sidetracked starts ignoring the users... and eventually sells the company also selling out all the users who registered. Also happened to winzip, they used to have lifetime licenses.

Hmm, quite a strange reaction given that I tried to help solving your problem...

I agree with that sentiment, given that 'noir' didn't want to give you requested info that you believe may assist you in determining cause of issue...and what does that have to do with ownership of the company that produces the app? I don't get that connection at all....if it were me, I'd be more than happy to provide whatever data may help..obviously I'd not do so here in public but via email or PM, what's the problem?

@noir

OK, here's your last warning. Instead of helping me solving your "licensing problem" you now turned to posting ridiculuous bug reports, obviously just as a pretext to mention competing products accompanied with screenshots of them. (I removed all those threads -- sorry for other users that were distracted by them and even posted in them!)

We had that kind of trolling here before, and if I see one more troll post by you you are gone without further warning!

that hurts don, Since i'm a registered user of XYplorer i won't do that and don't want to, again i was only trying to help, I'm sorry you saw it another way, I meant no way to advertise another explorer replacement..I wish you would of PMed me if you thought this.

I have 105 posts here and have been here since 2008, how many "unloyal" users stay this long? Again this was a misunderstanding.

LOL! May I remind you of your statement from 2 days ago: http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic. ... 506#p35506

Ok, that's it for me. I won't continue posting on this, uhm, topic. Stop PM-ing me or you are gone.
